As the final moments of 2025 approach, I’m appreciating this year’s achievements and challenges as I prepare for the upcoming year. I will figure out what to repeat and what to improve with each experience. A writer’s life and dealing with a chronic disease both require careful management. However, I celebrate living each day with the goal of finding joy.

Before the year ends, I want to take a moment to acknowledge my thankfulness. I’m celebrating that Book One is nearly finished and heading back to my editor. I thank my beta readers for their time, feedback, and critiques. My small team, I’m grateful to you for helping me stay on the right path. It’s difficult, I know, but you are amazing, always cheering me up when I was too fatigued to work. The important part is I am still standing and determined to get this novel out to my readers, who have been patient.

Also, I want to thank my medical team for their guidance and patience with me when I wanted to throw in the towel. I keep reminding those around me this journey is not for the faint of heart, but boy have I met some amazing people along the way. And to the two support groups I belong to, you all inspire me to push a little harder, and to laugh.

This year is chronicled in my journals, full of words, drawings, and keepsakes reflecting 2025’s peaks and valleys.

My message in this, my final blog entry of the year, is to encourage you to be kind, rejoice, and celebrate. Make every moment a Happy Gift to Yourself.

Wishing you Happy Holidays.
