Gosh, it’s a new month and spring is in the air even if the temperature doesn’t match the season yet. My publishing consultant recommended I consider two volumes of my novel as it surpassed the word count for contemporary fiction last fall. This month my plan is to complete the structure of book two of my novel, while I work on edits for book one. A couple of my fellow authors have provided me guidance as I maintain the narrative and character consistency across multiple books.
As part of my academic pursuits, I am undertaking an editing course, with assignments and homework based on Chapter One of Book One.
A year ago this month when I thought I was suffering with the worst case of the flu manifested into something unexpected. My YouTube channel documents the progress and setbacks I’ve encountered during this health journey. This month I share a thought that came to me one afternoon. The choice between discouragement and encouragement is mine; I will continue to choose encouragement. Even when I have my “pout” moments.
I am grateful to the support group members who share and the facilitators who create a safe space. This journey is not for the fainthearted.
Get out and enjoy this month and all it offers you.
