Long Beach, CA

Our trip to Long Beach was so beautiful, in fact I haven’t found a part of California that I don’t like. Every city has something different to offer, and I hope we can visit most of them. The hotel we stayed in was a Marriott and it was absolutely gorgeous, it’s across this big bridge that’s connected to the city. Basically there’s a strip of hotels on their own island which is pretty awesome and makes for beautiful views.

Now before I go into detail about our room, I have to tell you this story first. Chris and I found out that the check in time for the room wasn’t until 4pm and we didn’t really have anything planned for the day except to drive to Long Beach, which is only an hour and a half away from where we live. We tried to ask for an early check in and they said they would call us when our room was ready. When we got to the hotel we still didn’t receive a call so Chris went into the lobby to find out while I waited in the car. About 10 min. later he comes out with this ridiculous smile on his face and runs over to me. The guy in the lobby had told him that our room wasn’t ready but the penthouse suite was.. Chris had asked how much more money that one was and the guy shrugged.. told Chris he would just give us that room instead! So not only was our room a nice size.. it had the most beautiful view.

After we got settled in and made dinner we decided to go for a walk. We went down to the walk way by the ocean that you see in the picture above. We found the sweetest little area that was behind the hotel next to us. It had a little wooden bridge that we walk across with tiki lights surrounding it. Next to it there was a fire going that had this beautiful chandelier hanging above it and across from that was a waterfall. This was definitely one of my favorite parts on this trip. We couldn’t of picked a better time to come across this, it was right as the sun was setting.

Later that night we checked out the pool and the hot tub which was also incredibly gorgeous because it over looks the ocean, here is a picture of it during the day time.

We need to protect these amazing creatures, please keep our oceans clean! They deserve to live just as much as we do!
