USS Midway Museum

Oh. My. Goodness. I am finally able to write a blog post! I have been here there and everywhere lately and just did not have time to post, but now I have so many things to post about. I wish I could tell you all about my recent adventures in the same post but trust me you do not want that. You would be sitting here reading this all day, so instead I am going to continue telling you about my San Diego trip! As many of you may know my awesome boyfriend is in the Navy. He was stationed in Japan and on a ship for three years. I have always wanted to see what the inside of these things look like, I mean you see how they are in the movies but you can’t trust that. Now being on a ship for three years I seriously doubt my boyfriend wanted to go check out this museum but it was actually his idea to go since I have wanted to know what it’s like. Before I share some pictures I just want to say… I am so thankful to everyone that is serving our country. I never really understood everything that you all have to go through until my boyfriend talked to me about it. You guys are the true hero’s and you make me so proud to be an American. I am also proud of my boyfriend for going through everything he has gone through. I mentioned to him that I was upset by the way these ships look and how harsh it seems but he told me it’s not for comfort and it is for battle. Which then just puts things in perspective.. you’re right. It is for battle and I can only imagine the things that were said or the things that happened on this carrier. It seems cool walking in and seeing this stuff but have you ever stopped and thought about the people that do this for a living?

  1. You sure are right about the conditions of some ships in the Navy. Your boyfriend has shown such courage enduring uncomfortable conditions for us, yet still showing thankfulness for his career. I am happy he has you to help him through this voyage. Love ya, Leah!
